These pictures are from the East Haven Beach. The tide left a trail of small shells along the beach. I found the mix of the pale pink/white shells with the tiny pops of green seaweed to be quite lovely. I choose the other picture because the beach debris (which you expect to see on beach) was punctuated with dried oak leaves (which doesn't seem to belong on a beach).
They seem a bit over exposed... see how the highlights are blown out? (lacking detail)You can set your camera to under expose by a stop or so. (EV -1) We want to show richness and detail. The light should be subtle and gathered in the focal point.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely with you. I had a hard time getting and editing this assignments set of pictures. I adjusted the pics some more, which I think has improved them a bit.
